About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join our client in their East Perth office for a 6 month duration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain MRP process, by analysing and quantifying MRP data, and actioning accordingly.

  • Manage and maintain all material master data at a plant level in SAP.

  • Ensure Additions to Inventory (ATIâs) are processed in accordance with current policies and practices

  • Analyse inventory settings using the optimization tool and make or recommend changes as allowed in the governance standard

  • Perform item reviews for aged inventory and any material no longer required by the business to ascertain requirement or initiate disposal action.

  • Optimise Bulk and Individually Managed Commodities eg. Picks, Fuel, HV Tyres

  • Ensure timely resolution of any Inventory related issues

  • Challenge existing methods, identify and implement improvement strategies in line with optimising supply chain

  • Be proactive in developing and maintaining positive working relationships and open communication channels with key Stakeholders

  • Mentor and educate Warehouse Team members in the intricacies and importance of effective Inventory Management

  • Attend meetings as required and provide assistance in problem solving and any identified areas of difficulty that impacts the customer.

  • Be available to provide cover across the broader Materials Management team to mitigate absences

To be successful for this role, you have the following:

  • Effective communication skills

  • Good time management skills

  • Able to work well in a team environment or autonomously as required

  • Analysis and problem solving skills

  • Physical mobility to visit sites as required

  • At least 3 yearsâ experience in a similar position

  • A sound knowledge of all facets of Material Management, Warehousing and Logistics processes and procedures

  • Experience in Vendor/Contractor Management Experience in Vendor/Contractor Management

  • Experience in Transport & remote location Logistics

  • Experience in Inventory Optimisation tools

  • Tertiary qualified in an associated field preferred

  • Minimum Certificate III in Warehousing and Distribution

  • Current âC❠Class Driving License
