About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking a couple of laboratory/field technicians to assist our client with conducting quality test and control of asphalt production/asphalt laying.

Start Date: ASAP
Day shift: 7am to 5pm (Mon to Fri)
Pay rate: $38 per hour plus overtime penalties and super

This role would be suitable for someone who has experienced with carrying out quality tests and control of asphalt, quarry aggregate, sand and other raw materials for the civil/construction space.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Testing and inputting all data results into our clients in house systems

• Assess and monitor all materials in accordance to compliance procedures (e.g NATA)

• Carry out continuous improvement projects to ensure that the quality systems in place meet all regulatory and compliance standards

• Produce and present all relevant findings and reports to key stakeholders

• Assisting with clients Zero Harm initiatives and projects

• Follow our clients direction/processes on site

• Adhering to all safety protocols and COVID regulations on site

Skills/Experience:

• Have a min. 3 months work experience in a quality control testing environment

• If you have worked in a NATA accredited laboratory that is highly advantageous

• Be agile and able to adapt to changes in the workplace

• Tech savvy. able to use Microsoft Suite and learn our clients inhouse systems

• Good numerical, analytical and reporting skills

• Can pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test

• Double vaccinated against COVID-19/Valid medical exemption letter

• Be reliable

• Have your own car to get to work

• Have full working rights in Australia - this position has full time work hours
