About our Client

About the Role

An ongoing opportunity exists for an experienced Laboratory Technician at Rio Tinto's Nammuldi site.

Your duties include physically testing (crushing, grinding, weighing, sieving) iron ore/base metals, conducting manual preparation using rotary sample dividers and other associated duties within a laboratory environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Laboratory Operator in a mining environment

  • Experience with computers systems such as Starlims, SAP, FDMS, TIKS, SuperQ and ChemAlert

  • Technical and analytical experience in flux fusion, Leco TGA, XRF, robotic sampling with Herzog equipment, manual sample preparation using RSD's (Rotary Sample Dividers), Rocklabs crusher/splitter, moisture and sizing's analysis

  • Current Australian 'C' class driver licence

  • HR Drivers Licence (preferred)

  • SAP Experience (preferred)
