About the client

Established in the late 1970's, our client is Australia's leading total waste management, industrial and environmental services company who have supported Australian businesses for over fifty years and has extensive operations in Australia and the United Kingdom. They are currently seeking Recycling Sorters to join their growing team for an ongoing position based in their Hemmant (QLD) facility.

What you will be doing

As a Sorter you will be require to work Monday to Thursday 5:30am-2:30pm, Friday 5:30am-12:pm. The role is based in Hemmant (QLD) and your core duties will include;

• Sorting recyclables from conveyor line - fast moving conveyor, repetitive work, noisy and dusty environment

• Cleaning of working areas and outside

• Audit waste as required by Local Council Representatives and clients, and provide accurate reporting as

• required on time to a high standard

• Perform maintenance and/or safety checks on equipment as required

• Review existing procedures on a regular basis, with a focus on continuous improvement and safety

What you will need

• Good work ethic, understand importance of turning up to work

• Ability to complete repetitive, mundane tasks - working on a sorting line for long periods of time can make you feel seasick

• Commitment to safety

• Self-motivated

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• High attention to detail

• Experience in blue collar environment with repetition work

• Pre Employment Requirements: WH&S to be completed prior to commencement
