Lead Compliance Officer

About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking a Lead Compliance Officer to join our client based in Moranbah. This position will be a Monday to Friday roster, initially three months in duration with a potential for extension.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide animal control services with the enforcement of local laws and State legislation

  • Mentor and train Compliance Officers

  • Undertake inspections, investigations and resolution of issues into alleged breaches in relevant legislation, local laws and customer complaints

  • Issue correspondence, directions and notices

  • Coordinate the storage, safe keeping and disposal of impounded goods

  • Conduct approved inspection programs and patrols of designated areas

  • Review and assess licence and permit applications under local laws

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Local Law Officer, Ranger Officer or similar position

  • Demonstrated experience in animal husbandry, animal control, kennel and facility operations

  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience in navigating and interpreting State legislation and local laws

  • Current C Class Drivers Licence

  • Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
