About our Client

Rio Tinto operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.

Must Have:
Hold an Australian recognised Trade Qualification LV Trade mechanic
Have a trade qualification as a Light Mobile/road transport or Heavy-Duty Mechanic/Technician

• Be self-motivated and able to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Have experience working with SAP

• Have an Auto Refrigeration Licence/Certificate (desirable)

• Be experienced with Liebherr, Grove, Hiab, Scania, Isuzu, Volvo, Man Light & medium Trucks, Light Vehicles and general ancillary mining equipment

Experience Required:
Proven experience in the repairs and maintenance of light (4WD, Toyota) and heavy (CAT, Komatsu, ancillary) vehicles
Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting/interpretive skills
Experience with heavy earthmoving equipment, specifically Caterpillar Fleet an additional advantage
Relevant Australian recognised trade certification
Current Australian 'C' class manual driver licence
HR Drivers Licence (preferred)
High Risk Forklift, Dogging & EWP (preferred)
Working at Heights & Confined Space (preferred)

What you will be doing
A good understanding of hydraulic and electrical principles
Ability to diagnose faults, generate and implement solutions
Maintain accurate service records
Ensure work areas, tools and equipment are maintained in a clean, tidy and safe condition
Breakdown and fault diagnostic Experience
