About our Client

Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety and environmental performance.

About the Role

WorkPac is currently seeking Experienced Light Vehicle Fitters for an ongoing position with a large mining client in the Pilbara. This position is initially workshop based with the possibility to move to breakdown support pending performance. Successful candidates must demonstrate a high level of diagnostic, fault finding and problem solving skills and abilities, especially in relation to automotive electrical and hydraulic circuits and systems. Candidates will need to have an air conditioning accreditation (AAC02 â Automotive Air Conditioning Licence) to allow them to work with refrigerant gas and auto air-conditioning systems.

 

The LME Fleet for this site is quite diverse and includes-

o Large fleet of 4x4s (Toyota LandCruisers, Hilux, Ford Ranger & Isuzu DMax)

o Variety of Trucks (Scania, Volvo, MAN, Kenworth Prime Movers, Isuzu, Mitsubishi)

o Variety of Truck mounted service modules (IEE ANFO, SVA Service, AusRoads Stemming, SVA Water, etc.)

o Heavy Haulage Trailers (Drake, Howard Porter Semi-Trailers, GTE)

o Cranes (Grove, Terex and Liebherr, HiAb)

o Forklifts (large â 16 & 24t, small from 2 & 3 t upwards) Kone, Hyster, Yale

o Generator Sets (Cummins)

o Skid Steer Loaders (CAT, BobCat, Case)

o Lighting Plants (All Light, 4 & 6 head, LED and Incandescent)

o Welders (Lincoln, AirVantage),

 

 

Skills & Experience Required

⢠Light Vehicle Fitter Trade Certificate

⢠Automotive Air Conditioning Licence

⢠Current Drivers Licence
