Maintenance Manager
About the Role
Our client is an industry leader in sleeper design who provide their customers with safety certainty and engineering excellence. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible to ensure that site fixed plant and mobile equipment is maintained to standard and help improve reliable, cost-effective operations. This is a permanent opportunity based out of Point Wilson, with flexible start and finish times available for the right candidate.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct SHEQ activities such FSR audits, JRA Observations, management inspections, hazard reporting.
Populate weekly maintenance schedules with planned corrective work and improvements.
Ensure Preventative Maintenance Routines are performed according to registers.
Prepare annual maintenance budget and shutdown plans.
Manage site improvement projects, shutdown plans and execution.
Monitor mobile equipment performance (Prestart review) managing routine servicing and breakdown repairs through third party providers.
Generate capital justification for maintenance and equipment improvements as required.
Undertake root cause analysis of breakdowns (RCA).
Assist tradesperson on the factory floor during times of breakdown.
Lead and assist tradespersons in fault finding maintenance issues.
Skills and Experience
Mechanical Trades or Mechanical Engineer background.
5 years experience in maintenance, planning or scheduling in a Heavy Manufacturing Environment
Professional experience in CMMS â advantageous
Ability to influence and motivate stakeholders of all levels
Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Outlook and Project.
Previous experience managing a maintenance team and sub-contractors
