About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking an experience Civil Team Leader focused on roadworks for an Immediate Start for four month contract. The roster will be a Monday to Friday roster and will be based within the Snowy Mountains/Monaro local areas. The Team Leader guides the day to day work of the construction team and is responsible for the supervision of staff and tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Undertake and record site inductions

• Guide the Construction teams contribution and performance to facilitate improvements to service quality, accessibility and responsiveness

• Ensure the accuracy of completed Timesheets, Plant Running Sheets and Records

• Assist the Works Supervisor in incident investigation

• Undertake site safety inspections according to the safety inspection schedule

• Provide an escort to site visitors

• Ensure the implementation and maintenance of environmental actions and controls

• Ensure that all site personnel (including contractors and suppliers) are aware of their environmental responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of traffic control and implement traffic control plans

Skills and Experience:

• Certificate IV in related field or equivalent experience

• Minimum two years experience in a supervisor position

• Knowledge and understanding of road construction and maintenance activities particularly, roads, road verges, storm water drainage, footpaths and carparks, culverts and road pavements sealing and patching

• Construction Induction White Card

• Traffic Control Certificate; Prepare a Work Zone Traffic Management Plan

• Strong communication skills

• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite

• Current MR Drivers Licence, ongoing employment is conditional on maintaining this licence

• Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
