EXPERIENCED MAINTENANCE TRADES â PERMANENT POSITIONS

About the role

WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced and qualified Maintenance Trades persons to work with our client based out of Biloela. Our client specialises operates two power stations and has a trading portfolio of 3,535 megawatts. Our clientâs core business is the generation and sale of electricity in the National Electricity Market, dispatching 30 per cent of Queensland's electricity output.

This role is based at our Callide Power Station, 15 minute drive from the town of Biloela. 

The role is 36.25 hour week (4/3 roster) hours from 7.30am â 3.30pm.

Role Contribution

As a Mechanical Tradesperson at Callide Power Station, your major contribution will be to undertake preventative,

corrective and breakdown maintenance. Occasionally you may be required to perform overhaul maintenance. You will achieve this by liaising with your supervisor and working with other people. As part of your duties, you may be required to work on short-term shifts and to perform a reasonable amount of overtime, as per the plant requirements with mutual agreement by the employee.

In carrying out your role, there will be numerous important relationships that you will need to build and manage

constructively. These include Health and Safety Representatives, all Site Managers and Supervisors of Callide Power.

To be successful for this role you will have:

• Certificate 3 in Engineering (Mechanical Trades)

• Drivers Licence

• Previous experience in the power industry preferred

• Knowledge working within SAP computer system

• Competent Computer Skills

• Previous leadership experience (desirable)

• Medical required
