Mechanical Technician
Mechanical Technician.
Our Client is looking for a Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join their team at the Deer Park Chemical Manufacturing facility in a permanent full-time position and will operate 5 days per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing execution of safe and efficient mechanical maintenance for the Deer Park Specialty Emulsifier Plant.

What you will be doing:
Comply with site safety, health and environmental systems, policies and procedures
Execution of mechanical maintenance for the Deer Park Site with focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement
Provide maintenance cover during plant breakdowns and emergencies outside of normal required working hours.
Investigate, analyse and determine root causes of mechanical plant failures to improve plant reliability and availability
Apply site CMMS (SAP) in work management to identify and execute work
Participate in short and long-term maintenance planning and execution, including shutdowns
Prepare and review work instructions, procedures and work scopes
Participate in plant modify cation and upgrade projects and be involved in commissioning to facilitate transfer of the installation to operation.
Commitment to work in a team environment Mechanical and Electrical Technicians, Plant Engineers and Operations and support others in the team with skills and knowledge development
Commitment to develop and keep up to date relevant technical skills, this includes statutory and compliance associated training.
Requirements from candidates:Trade qualifications as a Fitter and Turner;
Previous maintenance experience in a chemical plant or related heavy industry;
Ability to interpret engineering drawings;
Effective analytical and problem solving skills;
Sound computer skills in MS Office, SAP (desirable);
Good written and oral communication skills; and
Forklift Ticket; Dogger and Basic Rigger Ticket (desirable).
