Our Client, leading manufacturer in Explosives is seeking Explosives operators to work at their Project based in the Gunnedah Basin.
Level 2 or 3 depending on Exp. Level 2 - $45 flat /Level 3 $52.30 flat
Explosive Operators ongoing role with option to go perm after successful completion of 6 month probationary period
- 7 days on 12. hours per day / 7 days off -
- Breaks - are paid
- Coal Board Order 43 medical + chest x-ray, functional, respiratory - In house D&A Screen - on charged to client
- UHL licence to be obtained by Candidate upon selection , preferably prior to commencement. ATD to be completed for cost to be deducted over maximum of two pays if candidate cannot pay upfront
Note * all WHC sites are non-smoking, so preference is for someone who does not smoke had to deal with this issue previously with people sneaking off for a cigarette so best to not have that risk if possible.
Requirements/Preferences:
- Has worked as a Trades assistant / Skilled labourer
- HR licence
- Police check No criminal record
- Driving Records (clean)
- UHL through Worksafe
- Dangerous Goods Licence preferable , however not essential
- Good attitude, reliable, can think on their feet, Good safety culture
- Mechanically minded
Will need to complete a NSW Coal Board Order 43
Drug and Alcohol test
Will need to complete WHC induction and Site famil
- PPE - 3 x yellow Hi Viz shirts, gloves, safety glasses, hard hat - WorkPac to supply
- Steel cap boots - candidate to supply
- Bus in and out to site arranged by client - departs back of Aldi carpark at around 5.45am
Mobile processing units (MPUs) are purpose-built vehicles that are used in mining operations to manufacture or blend Class 1 bulk explosives at the location of blasting. The MPU delivers the explosive directly into the blast hole via a pump or auger.
