About The Role

WorkPac are seeking an OHS Coordinator to join a successful mining services company.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Coordinator your duties will include, but not be limited to:

Assist in developing and maintaining effective procedures,

Effectively communicate Quality issues to all levels in a timely manner,

conduct Incident Investigations (ICAM)

Conduct internal audits, investigations, and risk assessments to measure success and promote action.

Induct new team members and implement training programs on QHSE issues.

Ensure health and safety compliance across the whole organisation

Identify, record and report hazard, accidents, injuries and health and environmental issues.

Participate and/or conduct investigations of accidents or process deviations, studying possible causes and provide remedial advice.

Conduct health and safety training sessions for management, supervisors and workers.

Assist with rehabilitation of workers after accidents and oversee their successful return to work.

Coordinate emergency procedures and first aid officers

Develop OHS plans in conjunction with management and monitor compliance

Inspect workplace and related tools and equipment to ensure compliance with government regulations

Skills & Experience

⢠Diploma of Work Health and Safety (BSB51315) or Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety (BSB60615)

⢠At least 5 years full-time experience in an OHS Practitioner role preferably with exposure to the mining or manufacturing industry

⢠Demonstrated experience in quality control and or Quality Assurance.

⢠Demonstrated experience in systems auditing.

⢠Incident Investigation experience (ICAM or other)

⢠âC❠Class driverâs licences

⢠Strong computer literacy (especially with MS suite of products)

⢠Be able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing

⢠Be team focused and willing to learn and grow with the company.

⢠Lead by example

⢠Be able to travel intra and interstate on a regular basis which may include short notice.
