About the Role

Workpac is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Leading Hand to join our team based out of Townsville. Joining our client provides you with the opportunity to apply your experience in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager, the Leading Hand will be hands-on, client focused, safety orientated and a lateral thinker who has a positive can-do approach.

To be successful, candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• 2+ years practical experience in similar role specialising in regional and remote commercial projects.

• Takes a hands on, practical approach to tasks;

• Excellent technical construction skills with the ability to solve problems and rectify technical issues.

• Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• An exceptional level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in subcontractor management and a well-developed knowledge of contracts.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage individuals and high-performance teams; and

• Highly developed time management, scheduling, and organisational skills with ability to meet deadlines.
