ABOUT THE ROLE

WorkPac are seeking a certified and experienced OCE to join our client at their coal mining operations in the Queensland Central Highlands Region.

Engaged in a term contract with potential for ongoing work, you will follow the sites lifestyle roster with accommodation and meals provided.

You will be committed to the management of all site stakeholders to comply with our clients Safety and Health Management Systems, adhere to mine plans and oversee key interactions.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible and committed to maintaining the safety and health of coal mine workers in and around surface extraction and surrounding operational areas.

• Conduct inspections of operational areas, identifying and reporting risks to Site Superintendent.

• Risk assessment and coordination of mitigating measures.

• Uphold and implement our clients Safety and Health Management policies and procedures.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Certificate of Competency Open Cut Examiner

• Current CBM and Standard 11

• Current Drivers Licence

• Certified S1, S2, S3 + G2

• Provide Signed Skills List

• Demonstrated experience in coal mining

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Dedication to developing safety-focused culture

• Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol test

• Ability to pass Challenge Test
