Operations Engineer
About the Role
In partnership with our leading international Oil & Gas client WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Operations Engineer for an immediate start, based within West Perth with a highly competitive salary on offer dependent upon skills and experience.
The successful candidate will have prior pipelay vessel operation experience within shallow waters in anchor mode, with barge preparation experience and experience with shorepull activities and exposure to shallow water operations in Australian waters/
Responsibilities will Include:
Provide engineering reviews, address operation, advise (directly and indirectly) best practices to the Project Operations Manager to assist in the achievement of project objectives, according to the plan/procedures developed by the engineering project team.
Suggest all possible operative solutions to perform the actual installation in the best way.
Verify that the considered schedules reconcile with the present vessel productivity, in the actual situation of readiness
Verify that the suggested procedures are correct and that the most efficient and cost effective solutions are followed.
Be able to suggest modifications and changes leading to improvements taking into account the suggestions of the vessel operations management.
Take part in the most critical phases on board of the installation vessel or in the preparation yard.
Distinguish rapidly the missing points and the optimization of the equipment used on board and in the yards.
Act as the reference point between engineering and operation
Record the main activities, the lessons learned during the development to ensure the knowledge management through a specific ICT instrument developed for the scope.
Promote and organize the meetings for the risk evaluation and for the revision of the procedures with the participation of the vessel personnel management
Follow up and monitor the procurement and logistics for the installation AID, project material, personnel, equipment for a successful project execution.
Attend offshore pipelay shallow water barge.
Plan day by day activity with Offshore construction manager and Operations manager for a successful execution.
Requirements of the Position:
Demonstrated minimum of 8 years previous experience with pipelay vessel operations in shallow waters in anchor mode,
Barge preparation experience, mobilization and qualification of the personnel.
Experience with shorepull activity and shallow water operations in Australian water - Mandatory
Current C Class Driver's License and Own Transport
Ability to pass a full Pre-Employment Medical
