One of Australia's leading manufacturers and suppliers of home garden products is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead their Production teams in this newly created role. As a well-established family owned business, this is a rare opportunity for a highly motivated individual to evaluate, lead and maximise productivity.

About the Role

A permanent opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager holding an Engineering background and ideally within the Compost Manufacturing Industry. Based on Brisbane's Northside, this position will require you, as a dedicated individual to work closely with General Management in streamlining process, maximising productivity, and closely managing Warehouse and Production Teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Overseeing all areas of Operations including Production and Warehouse facilities

• Workplace Health and Safety Enforcement and Improvement

• Managing staff rostering whilst working within required budgets

• Scheduling production to improve stock levels along with scheduling Warehouse priority load outs

• Setting and managing productivity expectations

• Review and implementation of Operational Policies & Procedures

• Implementation of AQIS

• Hands on assistance in Production or Warehouse as required

• Machine Maintenance and optimisation

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in Manufacturing Operational Management

• Engineering & Management Qualifications are ideal

• Forklift and other machinery tickets

• Compost Manufacturing experience is preferred

• AQIS Management experience is preferred
