About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking an Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator. This role will commence on a three-month probationary period and have the potential to go permanent.

The successful candidate will be working with the Work Health, Safety and Injury Management Team.

The skill requirements for the position are detailed below:

• Demonstrated experience in delivery of occupational safety and health, injury prevention/workers compensation programs within a multidisciplinary service organisation

• Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles and practices including knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and its application in the work environment

• Strong written and oral communication skills to enable effective communication with external bodies and all levels of staff

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• Demonstrated facilitation, training and presentation skills

• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills including the ability to work under time constraints without supervision

• Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery

Skills & Experience

• Australian Drivers Licence

• Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety

• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screen
