About the Role

Our client seeking experienced loaders/ unloaders to operate overhead cranes & forklifts to pick, assemble steel mesh, bar, coils and associated building products to transport.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete Overhead crane prestart check

• Fill coil bays of raw materials /around machines using large forklift (9t)

• Load coils onto machine pay offs once emptied safely with Overhead Gantry Cranes

• Unloads/Clears machines with the initiative to direct load steel onto vehicles, transiflats or in bins & bags.

• Gets involved in machine production to assist in expediting orders as directed.

• Fills tie wire stands at machines

• Emptys steel scrap bins and assists in scrap recovery off machines.

Skills/Experience

• Follows company policies and procedures

• Complies, under stands and follows WH&S obligations in the workplace

• Industry experience desirable

• Holds a current QLD High Risk Forklift License and has experience is operating a large forklift.

• Minimum two (2) years experience in overhead crane / gantry operation or equivalent high-risk work license ideal but not essential

• High level of self-motivation & ownership
