About the Role
WorkPac are seeking a Package Manager to join our clients Major Projects division. You will be joining an expanding delivery team in the resources sector, working on a full-time permanent basis. In this role, you will oversee the successful planning, execution, and control of major project packages on-site. Your responsibilities will include delivering comprehensive project management solutions, ensuring projects are executed safely, profitably, and overall successful from start to finish.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire project management process for small to medium-sized projects.
Supervise project budgets, adhering to established cost control procedures.
Ensure compliance with client QAQC requirements, as well as Company policies, plans, and procedures.
Evaluate and offer guidance on commercial, contracts, and scope deviations.
Monitor, track, and report on the progress and performance of project packages.
Provide coaching and mentorship for engineers.
Formulate and offer advice on cost-saving strategies and optimization.
Ensure all work aligns with relevant specifications, procedures, and drawings.
Coordinate the procurement of project materials within budgetary constraints.
Manage external suppliers and subcontractors following company and client procedures.
Develop and maintain project schedules, adhering to stringent deadlines and budgets.
Skills & Experience Required:
C Class Licence (with no restrictions)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, successfully handling small to medium-sized civil and infrastructure projects.
Tertiary qualification in civil engineering from a recognised institution.
Proven track record in project delivery within the resource sector, specifically in civil and infrastructure.
Excellent time management and communication skills, allowing effective interaction with key stakeholders.
Agile and adaptable to change management
