About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our client, Rio Tinto for a 6 month duration. This role will be an 8:6 day shift roster to Paraburdoo.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform plant troubleshooting, optimisation, and continuous improvement
Ensure plant capacity is fully optimised and production targets are met
Investigate deviations from the plan, including identifying and recommending solutions
Provide technical support and advice to fixed plant Ops & Maintenance crews and frontline
Identify, scope, and execute productivity and safety improvement work
Validate downtime data in accordance with the RTIO time mode
Report plant performance through daily, weekly, and monthly reporting formats
Prepare and distribute operating strategies and measure conformance to plan
Tracks operational data, provides own conclusions and recommendations.
Solves problems related to own sector of activities according to standard procedures/methods
Manages implementation of simple scope projects or improvements.
Acts as a credible technical resource to supervisors and technicians in own sector.
Influences peers and leaders by providing solid input in projects and daily activities.
Develops level of understanding of problem-solving and project leading methodologies as a team member.
Writes documents/reports on actions/recommendations in a clear and succinct language.
Provides technical assistance to production operations.
Supervises employees and contractors whenever required.
Presents proposed solutions/results to team members.
Positively engage, collaborate, and strengthen partnerships across site
Skills and Experience
Qualified process engineers with experience in fixed plant/ processing operations
Design and operates metallurgical process plants. Roles contribute to beneficiation technology and provide technical input to process raw material in order to produce saleable products.
WA Manual C class license
Confined space
Working at heights
