About the Role:

WorkPac are seeking a Project Contract Specialist Professional to join our leading Mining Client for a casual position for an immediate start. This position will be for an initial 12-month duration with potential to extend, and will have a Monday to Friday Roster, 40 hours per week. This role will require occasional travel to site.(1-2 Days per Month). A Hybrid working environment is provided, with WFH options for 2 days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contract Management and Project Sourcing ($5-10 Million Project Range) with turnaround of smaller projects.

• Active Engagement and Building of relationships and stakeholder engagement with remote site-based stakeholders.

• Pre contract and procurement activities, Post-Contract and Contract Administration

• Development of strategies, undertake sourcing, execute new contracts and manage contract variations compliant with the Charter, Code of Conduct, Group Level Documents (GLDs), Functional Level Requirements (FLRs) and relevant statutory obligations.

• Building and maintaining positive relationships with remotely based stakeholders

• Liaise with other teams within Procurement on collaborative tendering strategies that deliver spend aggregation benefits.

• Manage the documentation and review / approval process for the execution of variation / amendment requests for contracts to company guidelines.

• Selection of appropriate contract templates and negotiation of deviations to standard terms to reach an acceptable risk outcome to the business.

• Escalate contractual issues to relevant stakeholders and coordinate the resolution process including the facilitation and resolution of issues arising from claims, invoicing and rebates.

Skills and Experience:

• 5-10 Years Small Construction Project Sourcing/ Contract Management exposure (Preferably within an Mining/ Oil and Gas or Infrastructure Environment).

• Experience in pre-contract and procurement activities, Contract Administration Exposure within Project Execution Phases.

• Exposure across supporting multiple small projects within various stages of tender/execution.
