About the Role:
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced IS&T Support Technician for 12 Month contract. This role will be reporting to the Superintendent IS&T and will work with the ERA IS&T Team by performing IS&T solution support to the wider business unit and the execution of the Continuity of Services packages. Work location will be split between Darwin and Jabiru to familiarise with both Corporate, Process Control and Closure operations environments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Undertake short- and long-term planning for tailings storage facilities and dams
Ensure effective inspection and monitoring of tailings storage facilities and dams and report on the status of tailings and dams??? assets
Develop and own the Operational Maintenance and Surveillance manual for assigned tailings storage facilities
Lead the implementation of management of change for tailings storage facilities and dams
Provide first party assurance of tailings and water storage facilities
Lead or facilitate risk assessments and provide ongoing risk management
Partner with project and design teams for expansions or new facilities and provide quality assurance to construction of expansions or new facilities
Provide day to day leadership of the Engineer of Record for operational matters
Provide governance against internal and external standards across the business
About You:
Bachelor of engineering (Civil) or engineering geology degree
Previous professional experience with design, construction and/or operation of tailings storage facilities and dams
Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve safety and operational outcomes and delivery of targets
Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
Excellent communication skills
A strong understanding of dam safety monitoring equipment and interpretation of data (Beneficial)
Awareness of the Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management (GISTM) and national/international guidelines (ANCOLD, ICOLD, MAC, CDA, USBR) (Beneficial)
Experience in supervising the construction of tailings storage facilities and/or dams (Beneficial)
Experience in risk assessment and risk management principles (Beneficial)
Current Manual C class drivers Licence
