About the role:

Our valued client is seeking an experienced Senior IT Administrator for managing the uplift and enhancement of SharePoint within Rio Tinto Iron Ore???s Sustaining Capital division. The SharePoint Administrator will offer technical support in the roll-out of the enhanced SharePoint design and be required to work as a part of a small team to offer effective and efficient solutions to satisfy the requirements of the business, including identifying new and alternative approaches to performing business activities utilising the Office 365 suite of products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the current and new SharePoint environment and help to expedite user adoption within the Library.

  • Reviewing and improving all our existing SharePoint environments to create and configure new sites and provide improvement and maintenance of existing sites.

  • Liaise extensively with key internal stakeholders at all levels identifying, analysing and consulting on required changes.

  • Consult with the business to understand how the updated service will flow/streamline workflow and processes.

  • Provide specialist advice and guidance on Microsoft???s collaboration products, training and educating on Office 365.

  • Design modern collaboration workspaces using moderately complex requirements analysis, including use cases, object diagrams, flow charts, technical specifications, interface mock-ups and test plans, including simulated data and unit tests.

  • Develop and design SharePoint sites with pages and online content to align to information management directives.

  • Assist with the planning and co-ordination of business process and system improvement, staff training and to provide support to the stakeholders to achieve a successful implementation.

  • Becoming a champion by implementing best practices on your SharePoint/Office 365 team environment.

  • Following Rio Tinto policies when designing, developing, testing and implementing SharePoint/Office 365 solutions.

Preferred Background / Industry Experience:

  • Working experience as a SharePoint Administrator for a large organisation preferably in Mining, Resources, Oil and Gas industries.

Skills and Experience:

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft SharePoint technologies, including administration and development.

  • Excellent understanding of data governance and business engagement, in the context of enterprise wide data.

  • Demonstrated ability and experience with Microsoft products, including SharePoint Online, Teams and other Office 365 products.

  • Demonstrated experience with the rollout of Office 365 products

  • Demonstrated ability to determine and document business and technical requirements, and gain agreement with stakeholders on the optimal approach

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle a variety of stakeholders

  • Experience in project-driven environments, liaising with the business

  • High level written and oral communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated by a superior ability in consultation, networking, negotiation, partnering, documentation and advocacy and influence to achieve outcomes.
