About our client

Our client is one of the biggest names in the mining and resource sector, spanning over 35 countries with a number of operations internationally and on home soil, they produce iron ore for steel, aluminium for motor and tech industry, copper for wind turbines, diamonds that set the standard for titanium for household products and borates for crops that feed the world.

About the Role

WorkPac are currently looking to speak with experienced Project Managers with demonstrated success in the Mechanical space to work on a 12-month contract opportunity based out of Brisbane or Gladstone. With site travel expected to understand the details and internal requirements of the project. You will be responsible for leading the project which is centred around a condensate slurry tank bypass.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Project support regarding structural and mechanical works

• Prepare, review and issue tender documentation.

• Set and maintain project budgets and schedules to meet internal and external commitments

• Create and maintain project documentation in the different phases to meet requirements

Skills and Experience

• Experience in managing and delivery of capital brownfield projects from concept to closeout

• Engage and manage engineering service providers to ensure project objectives are met.

• Source, procure and engage suppliers and specialized subcontractors.

• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

• Mechanical Engineering / Trade qualification or, relevant technical background and experience.

• A proven track record of site management with safety, customer service and financial responsibilities.

• Strong safety focus to be implemented from early design phases to execution and close-out.

• Sound understanding of project controls and project reporting requirements.

• Leadership and people management skills.

• Effective written and communications skills.
