About the Role

WorkPacare looking for a project manager with a civil engineering background, for tailings closure engineering studies. This is Perth based opportunity with some site travel (short duration) to Pilbara on 5/2. Role is a casual contract to support the project until the end of 2021 and potential ongoing work (to be negotiated).

Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years project management experience in mining, civil engineering, consulting

• Experience with TSF design desirable but not essential

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to work autonomously, show initiative and be driven to achieve results

Responsibilities/ Duties

• Project management for tailings closure studies, comprising options assessment and conceptual through to detailed design, overseeing site investigations and trials, and management of the consultant engineering team.

• Reporting to Closure Planning team, Studies and Technology

• Core duties include:

  • Managing the consultant engineering teams

  • Coordinating inputs from internal team members to determine the optimum design solutions

  • Cost and Schedule control, including forecasting Cash flow

  • Overseeing site investigations and trials

  • Reporting progress to internal stakeholders

  • Managing Quality & Risk

  • Ensuring RTIO HSEQ standards are met
