About the role

WorkPac are seeking a Project Manager to join a leading Council Department. You will be delivering ICT projects, have a strong background in Agile Methodology and utilise the current project team. The role is an 10 month duration concluding in June 2023, Monday - Friday, based in Nambour QLD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong background utlising Agile Methodology

• Lead the delivery of ICT projects with the application of a strong project management methodology.

• Lead and develop a high-performing project team that is responsive to customer needs.

• Manage project resource requirements, including:

• Project delivery timeframes.

• Quality conditions.

• Budget constraints.

• Manage vendor relationships including contract development and monitoring of vendor performance against Service

• Contracts and Service Level Agreements.

• Develop and manage quality assured project plans to ensure project objectives are met.

• Develop and execute effective communications plans.

• Facilitate agile project delivery including:

• Working with the business to prioritise project deliverables.

• An iterative approach to the delivery of project solutions.

• Regularly showcasing project achievements.

• Reviews with the business owners.

• Perform procurement activities associated with projects in line with Councilâs procurement policies

• Participate in the formation, monitoring, and adjustment of Project budgets.

• Work with stakeholders to ensure that the project team can achieve business objectives.

• Ensure Test planning and sign-off on solutions.

Mandatory Requirements:

• A degree in Information Technology or Information Systems or Computer Science (or other recognised relevant degree which includes subjects in computing fundamentals, business and systems analysis, problem resolution, project management, business process workflow design) and/or substantial experience managing a project team in an ICT environment.

• Qualifications and/or experience in project management.

• Highly development interpersonal and communication skills with particular emphasis in the areas of building effective relationships, consultant, negotiation, conflict resolution and assertiveness to resolve issues and meet changing organisational needs.

• Strong business acumen including the ability to prepare professional business communication such as; reports, presentations, projects, planning and policy documents with demonstrated ability to operate effectively with relevant business technologies.
