About the Role:

WorkPac on behalf of Rio Tinto are looking for a Construction Manager for the upcoming crusher upgrade project in Tom Price. The role is 18-month Fixed Term Contract (based on the current project schedule and potentially longer).

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a large brownfields construction project from procurement to construction and commissioning at Rio Tinto???s Tom Price Mine Site. The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising, ensuring it is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

??? Manage and supervise a brownfields construction project, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.

??? Maintain quality control processes to ensure workmanship meets project specifications and industry standards.

??? Manage the interface of daily and shutdown activities with the operations team to minimise disruptions and ensure efficient project execution.

??? Supervise a small team of engineers, coordinators, and project advisors, providing leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

??? Ensure methodology and sequencing of activities align with the Construction contractor supplied plan and approved risk assessment.

??? Attend daily pre-starts, weekly construction meetings, and shutdown meetings to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure project milestones are met.

??? Ensure compliance with standard industrial construction management processes, means and methods.

??? Communicate effectively with stakeholders and management, to provide project updates and address concerns promptly.

Key Requirements:

??? Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role in the construction industry, with a strong focus on quality control and compliance.

??? In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and quality assurance standards.

??? Strong leadership and communication skills

??? Proficient in reviewing and interpreting project management documentation.
