About the Client
WorkPac are seeking a Electrical Project Supervisor Professional to join our major Electrical and Communications contracting company, for a full time permanent position direct with the client for an immediate start within Brisbane (Morningside).
This position embraces all planning, operational and administrative aspects of installation projects. It is viewed by management as being a vital position in influencing the technical and business growth of the Company, requiring high level skills for the management of the Company''s technical personnel and in the demonstration of the Company's technical and project management expertise in commercial and industrial electrical installations. The application of sound quality management principles for technical financial planning, controlling, delegating, client liaison, negotiation and communication are essential dimensions of the position.
Your role will include:
Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the project.
Assess project shortcomings, possible alternatives and potential opportunities.
Arrange procurement of specialist equipment in conformance with project specifications and Company purchasing procedures.
Initiate inspection and test plans to ensure compliance with specifications and Company procedures.
Assess contractual requirements e.g. program, award conditions, serving of notices, liabilities.
Assess and arrange (in conjunction with the site forepersons), human resources, plant, materials and equipment resources.
Plan the installation process in conjunction with the Foreperson and client
Ensure positive Company cash flow through efficient control of payment claims and expenditure.
When required, maintain monthly project reconciliations, identify approved contract value to date, costs to date, cost to complete and projected result.
Ensure project variation prices are prepared expediently and submitted within the specified time.
Ensure that contractual documentation is maintained and up to date.
Ensure that all jobs to be invoiced separately are invoiced expediently and in accordance with Company procedure.
Ensure appropriate delegation and allocation of duties to supervisory personnel involved in the project and that all aspects of the project are understood by them.
Ensure appropriately skilled personnel are allocated to tasks on site.
Provide regular reports to the Construction Manager on the progress of each project including achievements and difficulties.
Ensure that the root cause of problems or errors on site is found and that those which may be common to other areas other projects are relayed in management meetings for the benefit of the Company.
Provide leadership in the development and implementation of the safety, quality and environmental management aspects of Company operating system.
Ensure that all Company and client correspondence, documentation and records are efficiently maintained for easy access and retrieval.
Provide technical advice on site when required and refer to the Operations QA and OHS&E Manager for additional technical support when necessary.
Ensure that requirements for and Company policies in relation to industrial relations and occupational health and safety are adhered to.
What you will need :
Must be competent in all facets of electrical installations with a full range of supervisor skills.
Recognised Qld Electrical License
Construction Industry Safety Induction
Current CPR certification
ACA Registered Cabler
