About the Role

WorkPac are seeking an experienced Delay Accounting Officer based within the Rio Tinto Operations Centre near the Perth Airport for an ongoing contract with an immediate start. This position will hold an 6/6 roster with 12 hour shifts per day and competitive hourly rate dependent upon skills and experience.

Responsibilities will Include:

Working with the Rail Logistics and Optimisation Department, You will classify causes of rail delays through understanding rail networks and liaising with stakeholders within the department, completing ad hoc analysis and confirming daily train counts.

Requirements of the Position:

• Prior experience writing SQL queries for statistical analysis of large data sets

• Strong Microsoft Office Experience- Focusing within Excel and PowerPoint

• Excellent Problem Solving and Stakeholder Management Skills

• Providing training and guidance on downtime time usage codes and when they should be used

• Produce reports and insights into the data to derive meaning

• Current "C" Class Driver's License and Own Transport

• Ability to pass a full Pre-Employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen

• Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
