About the Role

This role is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a strong commitment to safety to be part of a collaborative team. Reporting to the Crew Leader, you will be:

- Operating Rail Maintenance machinery such as Excavator, Loader so experience with this machine is highly regarded

- Associated tasks to do with track maintenance

- Vehicle loading, unloading, handling equipment & machinery

- Reporting faults to supervision as identified

- Safely executing breakdown repairs and recovery of various rolling stock assets including but not limited to; turnouts, IRJs, frogs and sleepers and derailment scenarios

- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures

- Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost

Mandatory Requirements:
- WA C Class Drivers Licence (HR Preferred)
- Experience working in a hot environment

Preferred:
- Rail Experience - Certificate II or III in Rail Infrastructure
- Excavator, Loader competencies
- Rio Tinto Iron Ore inductions or previous experience
- Sound technical and computing abilities
- High Risk Work Licence Dogging, Vehicle Loading Crane, Mobile Crane

- Experience working with rail specific Hand Tools

- Experience with Rolling Stock recovery highly regarded
