About our Client

About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking experienced maintainers to support our client Rio Tinto at their 7 Mile Rail Facility.
Duties will include servicing, diagnosing defects and competently repairing Pooled Fleet and âJâ Fleet wagons which includes:
Qualifying and replacing of Wheelsetâs as required using an overhead crane or Jacks
Assembling/disassembling and replacing Draft Gears, Couplers and other Drawgear components
Testing, diagnosing faults and repairing brake systems
Repairing wagon structural body damage
Qualifying wheelset bearings, pressing bearings on/off and qualifying Axles.
Operating Simmonds Stanray Milling Machine and any future wheelset truing machine
Shunting wagons within workshop yard
Operate Yard Drop tables
Skills and Experience
C class drivers licence (minimum)
Ability to pass a Category Rail Medical
Forklift Licence (preferred)
