About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Rehabilitation Field Officer on a 2/1 roster FIFO from Perth. The role will be responsible for supporting Rehabilitation Earthworks in the supervision and reporting of earthworks and general rehabilitation activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify site HSE requirements, including inspecting work areas and equipment for hazards

  • Ensure that contractors understand and adhere to HSE standards, procedures and systems

  • Contribute to the development of documentation and company standards

  • Capture necessary information; geospatial footprints and photographs of completed works

  • Provide data to the geospatial database

  • Assist in compilation and provision of data to daily, weekly and monthly reports; incident reports and corrective actions

  • Assist in the assessment of land disturbance

  • Assist in the implementation of monitoring systems

  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of earthworks to rehabilitate land disturbance

  • Participate in direct rehabilitation activities were required

  • Advocate for optimum environmental outcomes in rehabilitation implementation

  • Assist in the management of work programmes in accordance with approved budgets, resources and schedules

  • Assist in the daily monitoring of expenditures associated with daily work programmes

  • Ensure implementation of works meets the required standards to enable sign-off of rehabilitation areas by statutory authorities

  • Ensure documentation is produced to quality standards

  • Ensure contractors accurately capture activity, time, and costs

  • Identify opportunities to improve work and cost efficiencies and land rehabilitation outcomes

  • Assist in the identification and maintenance of environmental equipment resources

  • Assist in the review of contractor safety and environmental competencies and pre-mobilisation / demobilisation engagements as directed

  • Assist in the implementation of scopes of work in a cost effective, competent, effective and safe, non-polluting manner

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders

About You:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role or in a field role associated with mineral exploration / mining, civil infrastructure or project (field) environment

  • Experience with geospatial systems and field mapping systems

  • Experience in land clearing and land rehabilitation activities

  • Environmental, geo-science or similar qualification (Desirable)

  • First aid qualifications (Desirable)

  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety

  • Well-developed computer skills (MS Office Suite)

  • Knowledge of and experience in the use of environmental field equipment and field emergency communications equipment.

  • Ability to work effectively with all relevant internal and external stakeholders

  • Supervisory and leadership capabilities

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Current 'C' class manual drivers' licence

  • Full working rights in Australia
