About the Role

In partnership with our leading ASX listed client, WorkPac is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for a full time, permanent opportunity based within our clients Facilities and Asset Services division based within North Ryde, Sydney.

Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will ensure that all proposals, expressions of interest, and pre-qualifications are developed, prepared, submitted, and negotiated in accordance with the company's policies, procedures, and values.

Responsibilities will Include:

• Provision of estimating support and expert advise to projects and all departments as required, evaluating tenders received

• Preparation of tenders including take-offs, subcontractor inquiries & packages, contract reviews and evaluations and client correspondence

• Ensure pricing remains competitive and that new techniques and cost trends are monitored

• Managing multiple discipline business process across various trades, preparing work method statements or construction methodologies consistent with proposals and criteria as outlined

• Ensure tender submission deadlines are achieved through proactive management of resources and have appropriate approvals prior to submission

• Preparation of biud summaries, providing important and relevant information for bid reviews including tender review track sheets

• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders throughout tender periods

• Provide leadership to the Electrical Estimating team and act as a mentor for other team members

• Interact with the Business Development team, Estimating & Project teams and other regional departments as required

Desired Skills and Experience

• Electrical Trade Qualification with demonstrated knowledge of Estimating Principles

• Minimum of 15 years industry experience with supervisory experience within an industrial or office environment

• Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills and the ability to negotiate successfully with subcontractors and clients

• Strong computer literacy skills with experience utilising Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and Database/ Planning software as required.

• Ability to undertake a full Pre-Employment Medical Assessment

• Current C Class Driver's License
