About the Position:

In partnership with our leading Mining and Resource Client, WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Senior GIS Analyst based in Perth.

Reporting to the Manager Exploration, you will be responsible for administering and managing the GIS database, provide support for data exchange, map production and reporting requirements to internal, inter-departmental and external parties.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain GIS database, identify, develop and implement new datasets

• Process field-captured exploration data and external data

• Maintaining GIS licencing

• Develop and maintaining metadata

• Plan and implement system upgrades to enhance functionality.

• Ensure the geological database is kept up to date with exploration data

• Supervise and provide maps

• Ensure timely distribution of GIS data updates (from internal and external sources)

• Ensure awareness of GIS data availability and storage / access issues

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a GIS Analyst position

• Background in Geology (Preferred)

• Quality Assurance and Quality Control of geology data and assay result

• Exposure to exploration data would be highly regarded

• High Attention to Detail
