About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Senior Professional Engineer to support the 2021 Capital Plan for Engineering Operations for an immediate start based within Gladstone. This position is ongoing with a Monday to Friday roster and hourly rate of $85.00 per hour plus super.

Duties will Include:

• With scope for individual accomplishment and co-ordination of more difficult assignments, the professional engineer deals with problems for which it is necessary to modify established guides and devise new approaches.

• Within this position you will make original contributions or apply new professional engineering approaches and techniques to the design or development of equipment or special aspects of products, facilities and buildings.

• Must be able to make responsible decisions on matters assigned, including the establishment of professional engineering standards and procedures.

• Consults, recommends and advises in speciality engineering areas.

• Work is carried out within broad guidelines requiring conformity with overall objectives, relative priorities and necessary co-operation with other units.

• Able to outline and assign work, review it for technical accuracy and adequacy, and may plan, direct, co-ordinate and supervise the work of other professional and technical Personnel.

Skills & Experience

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification - Mandatory

• RPEQ Certification - Mandatory

• Prior experience within Aluminum Processing, Leadership Experience, Commissioning and exposure across Brownfield Projects would be highly regarded

• Current "C" Class Driver's License and Own Transport

• Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian permanent residency visa to be eligible to apply for this position
