About the Role

WorkPac is currently seeking a Senior Project Advisor to join the Sustaining Capital CLAHDO Project Team. The role involves supporting the delivery of the CLA High Density Ore Project at Cape Lambert Port A near Wickham. This position is expected to last approximately 36 months, operating on a 5:2:4:3 roster, and set to commence in 2023.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Advisor to ensure that the construction activities comply with and are delivered to Rio Tinto standards and policies for HSE.

• Participant in regular work front HSE audits in conjunction with the Project Advisors and the HSE Advisors.

• Have knowledge and experience of HSE policies, standard procedures and statutory requirements.

• Lead the HSE risk analysis process from initiation stage followed by identification, evaluation, management, reporting and updating stages.

• Leveraging the broader organisation (internally and externally) for HSE value creation through sharing knowledge, experience, skills and resources.

• Participate in Construction Method Statement reviews and contribute to safe execution practices.

• 360 focus on the business safety improvement plans - Embrace, lead & build a strong safety culture.

• Support the site HSE Advisor in the development and delivery of the Monthly toolbox.

• Demonstrate visible felt safety leadership.

• Ensure quality in all project reports (daily and weekly report and handovers notes etc).

• Ensure all incidents are investigated and that all actions are implemented accordingly.

• Coach and mentor, our contractor partners in RTIO systems and processes.

• Proactive approach with a strong commitment in driving a safe working culture.

• Work with our contractor partners to embed safety programmes and or initiatives throughout the execution phase.

• Attend a fortnightly forum with Senior Advisors from PMO & SCS - Knowledge sharing & Lesson learnt opportunities.

Skills & Experience Required:

• C Class Licence (with no restrictions)

• Good understanding of Project Management principles.

• Familiarity with RTIO processes and systems is beneficial, especially in Project Delivery teams.

• Experience with building fabrication and construction within a brownfield environment.

• Strong people skills with a passion for leading a high-performance team.

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to collaborate with contractor partners.
