About our Client

McArthur River Mine is located on one of the world's largest deposits of zinc and lead, about 970km south-east of Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory. Zinc and lead is mined and processed at McArthur River Mine and trucked to Bing Bong Loading Facility of the Gulf of Carpentaria, where it is then shipped around the world. McArthur River Mine which is run by Glencore includes an open cut mine and processing facilities

What you will be doing

Driving a truck (air-conditioned with air suspension seat) to access machinery on the mine site (environment: uneven, potholes, slippery in rain).

Worker refuels and refills oils in machines and generators.
Tasks: exiting truck (4 ladder rubber steps - first step 46 cm), pulling hoses to vehicles over uneven ground, in low light and accessing vehicles to fill tanks (ladder/climb over components) while carrying nozzle up to 8 kg.
Fuel access points are from knee to overhead height. Performed up to 60 times per day in active mining areas requiring constant scanning of area visually to avoid operating machinery.
