About the Role

Workpac are currently seeking applications from experienced Shotfirers for a Full-Time position on a 7/7 roster for a mine in the Bowen Basin.

Skills & Experience

• Plan and control the blast process

• Supervise site blasting operations

• Mentor and train bench assistants to ensure high quality work practices are maintained

• Monitor and address safety throughout the entire drilling and blasting process

• Blast control, including planning and communicating with production and technical service teams on site

• Time manage blasting operations to ensure blasts are initiated at the scheduled time

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience operating confidently as a Shotfirer

• Current Qld Shotfirer Licence (essential)

• Standard 11 or willing to obtain

• Current Coal Board Medical

• Current HR or MR class licence

• National Police Clearance (Less than 3 months old or willing to obtain)

• QLD Security Clearance for handling explosives

• Positive team focus and outcome based

• Ability to work away from home

• Right to work within Australia
