About the role

Client seeking experienced machine operators to safely operate steel processing plant & equipment (Off coil, Shearlines, Bending machines) at their Brisbane yard.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct prestart checks on all plant and equipment

• Quality - apply quality control inspections prior to and during machine operation using tools & equipment.

• Loading machines with raw materials (coils/bar) using an overhead crane

• Unloading machines with finished product using overhead crane to designated storage areas/vehicles.

• Safe operation of automatic high-speed machines such as off coil machines, automatic shearlines and various bending machines

• Use RF Scanners

Skills/Experience

• Follows company policies and procedures

• Complies, under stand's and follows WH&S obligations in the workplace

• Machine Operation experience is essential

• High level of self-motivation & ownership
