About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join the team at Rio Tinto in Perth. This role will report to the Specialist Engineer Structural and will work a Monday to Friday roster in Perth.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creating and revising structural inspection scopes of work

• Creating and implementing maintenance tactics, including accurately estimating resource requirements for the structural inspections

• Providing input into structural asset management plans

• Reviewing completed defect repair documentation to ensure quality requirements have been met

• Reviewing remedial scopes of works

• Providing technical support to site teams

• Assisting with the implementation of a new inspection programme for platework (bins, hoppers, chutes and tanks)

About You:

• A Bachelor of Civil and/or Structural Engineering

• Experience in driving improvement initiatives in large organisations

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to relate to all levels of the workforce

• Confident and driven personal style with a willingness to use your initiative and work independently

• Experience with the design of iron ore materials handling and processing plants including crushing, screening and wet processing facilities, conveyors, bins, chutes and lifting

• Experience with fixed plant structural maintenance programs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in producing professional written deliverables

• Strong team player

• Current Manual Drivers Licence

• Full Working Rights in Australia
