Structural Integrity Project Lead

About the Position

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Structural Integrity Project Lead for a role with our client Rio Tinto Sustaining Capital division. This role will be FIFO from Perth on an 8:6 roster and an initial 12 month engagement. This role will be responsible for developing remediation SOW's for non-standard remediation methods and in field identification of such areas.

Duties will include:

  • Responsible for developing remediation SOW's for non-standard remediation methods and in field identification of such areas. Including facilitating the process of obtaining a quotation for the SOW if required and facilitating the raising of site instructions if required;

  • Facilitating the Design of any required propping for the execution of the works;

  • Review and verify PPPC documentation and workings including Ongoing Works claims;

  • Assure the conformance to Quality plan and overseeing workmanship on a day-to-day basis;

  • Assure the conformance to Management plans;

  • Assist Advisors in assuring conformance to L2RA;

  • Complete LIF activities including PTHA, CCCFV's, QSI and checks on the spotlight topic;

  • Site Measure RSW's prior to blasting, review and approval of comp plating remediation plans,

  • Measure and approve of final BoQ's once inspection blasting is completed;

  • Review and Approve in field completed RSW's with the Contractor. Review and Approve Quality Documentation except for Painting QA/QC. Facilitate or complete the SAP Close Out and maintain the close out Register;

  • Manage the timely completion of TQ's;

  • Review Daily Timesheet Claims, including completing field reviews where required and maintaining a diary, as the SOR claims are subjective, the Engineer is responsible for ensuring claims are substantiated and that excessive claims are not approved.

  • Preparations of Tender Documents and BOQ's for future works including future major Project Works and minor SOW's to complete P0's issued to site AMES team;

  • Design reviews of Contractor drawings for replacement items. Facilitating or completing design as required. Assuring As-Built drawings are logged with EDM as per the procedure

What you will need:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and others, creating and maintaining a safe workplace

  • MS Projects knowledge

  • Knowledge and ability to understanding requirements of all disciplines - Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Civil, Scaffolding, Rigging.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships

  • Attention to detail and an ability to problem solve

  • C Class Drivers Licence
