About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Tailings Engineer to join our client Rio Tinto for an ongoing basis with the possibility for full-time work. This role will be Perth based working a Monday to Friday roster.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of tailings and water storage facilities
Deliver technical capacity to site teams
Ensure operations of tailings storage facilities in accordance with the design intent and operational plans
Closely collaborate with site leadership to ensure tailings storage facility integrity is maintained
Undertake short and long term planning for tailings storage facilities and dam
Develop and own the Operational Maintenance and Surveillance manual for assigned tailings storage facilities
