About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Technical Assistant for Rio Tintos Geotechnical team. FIFO from Perth, 8:6 roster to West Angelas site.
Duties include:
Installing, maintaining, and operating all geotechnical monitoring instruments, including stocktake, forecast and planning
Processing of monitoring data.
Management of geotechnical capital projects and geotechnical assets.
Liaison and support contractor management (CMS) through Contractor management systems.
Assist geotechnical/geology/structural data collection and data processing as required including cone cutting, sampling, data entry, spotting at pit walls, assisting with structural mapping, shale logging, and pit escorting
Geotechnical hazard identification
Inspection of waste dumps
UAV flights to capture panoramic views of the pits, waste dumps, other landforms as required.
