About the Role
WorkPac Professional are currently seeking an Analyst Technical Content - Technical Writer. Based at our clients Operations Centre, Monday to Friday, working an on-going contract.
Sitting within the Rail Governance team, this individual will provide project support for the Rail Governance team and content management services to the Railways Division to achieve and maintain business and regulatory compliance for Rail documentation.
As an Analyst Technical Content, you will be writing and maintaining business content in the MS Word and HTML5 format, and undertaking tasks to deliver improvements to our governance processes and associated systems. The content is managed using single-sourcing principles and consumed by our customers across several systems and mediums.
This position would suit a Technical Writer with HTML code writing experience who is organised, methodical, able to troubleshoot, and accustomed with working to strict deadlines. Experience with project work and continuous improvement initiatives will be an advantage.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Create, maintain and retire controlled document content for Rail in consultation with the business, SMEs and authors and in-line with Rail Governance processes
Use and maintain the MadCap Flare content management software
Publish and maintain the Rail Docs library
Use and update the document management system
Participate in and contribute to Rail Governance meetings, discussions and workshops
Apply continuous improvement methods with respect to Rail controlled document content and processes
Undertake project support and continuous improvement initiatives for the Rail Governance team
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum 3+ years experience in a similar or same role required, desirably within Mining & Resources industry
Advance training in content management or single-sourcing software tools
Office 365 and SharePoint
Undertake writing tasks for a geographically diverse audience
Engage with subject matter experts on written content
Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders
Full unrestricted right to work in Australia
