About the Role:

We are seeking a Technical Writer professional to join the Operational Readiness team at Rio Tinto, based on site at Cape Lambert Port Operations. This position will be FIFO from Perth working a 5/2 4/3 roster for a 12 month duration which may have potential to extend.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Identify user documentation requirements.

• Engage OEM & SME resources to gather information.

• Produce Safe Work Procedures or Work Instructions.

• Facilitate workshops with front-line personnel to validate or verify documentation.

• Engage Information Management team, to ensure standardised processes are adhered to.

• Facilitate sessions to conduct documentation reviews and updates.

• Manage documentation workflow and approvals.

• Maintain task & project overview with frequent progress reporting.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Professional workplace experience.

• Operational or Maintenance background.

• Demonstrated development of personal or professional skillset.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite particularly word

• A basic understanding of Information Management or Document Control, preferred but not essential

• A current C class drivers licence
