About the Role:

WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Terminal Operator for a fulltime permanent position. This position provides assistance to the Terminal Manager in managing and controlling the safe and efficient operations of the Terminal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist Terminal Management in pursuit of safety objectives by maintaining a strong HSSE culture and developing HSSE awareness of all users of the terminal

• Provide relief as the Assistant Terminal Manager at the Terminal to cover annual leave, sickness or training

• Coordinate the unloading schedule for the Rail Car fleet to maintain supply continuity and initiate corrective action

• Maintain the terminal in a safe & reliable operational state when carrying out Terminal Operator duties in accordance with internal procedures and national and local statutory requirements.

• Working with Contractors to ensure their adherence to terminal operating rules and regulations.

• Monitor and maintain site integrity to ensure site is operating and maintained in a safe and reliable manner through the identification of hazards / risks and implement controls.

• Complete administration as required to assist in maintaining the company standards, policies and procedures

• Work within and help maintain a strong team environment to achieve the safe and efficient daily operations of the terminal

• Pipeline or Tankship Product Receipt Accountabilities

• Rail Person in Charge: Provide input to development and/or compliance for rail operations, ensure on-going competence and training in rail operations, ensure daily planning activities of rail operations to meet customer demands, manage any variations of planned rail operation activities and work with Terminal Management to ensure rail assets are maintained to standards.

About You:

• An experienced communicator - able to communicate with positive personal impact and influence

• Demonstrated ability to interpret & apply HSSEQ policies & practices

• IT Skills - ability to use Email, MS Word & Excel.

• Flexible enough to adapt to various job roles

• Strong team working skills and performance orientation

• Experience in bulk fuel handling receipt, storage & distribution procedures within a terminal or refinery operation.

• Product quality knowledge and experience

• Experience with contractor supervision, and work permit systems

• Knowledge of plant & maintenance requirements

• Experience in undertaking hands on maintenance and operations in a bulk fuel facility.

• Experience in use of bulk terminal operating systems

• Experience in product receipt, Dangerous Goods Regulations, maintenance standards Education

• A Trade Qualification would be highly regarded Key Challenges & Complexities of Role

• A high level of HSSEQ awareness

• Correct aptitude/attitude to be multi skilled and adaptable working in a variety of job role

• Follow national and locally developed procedures

• Working in an environment where 3rd party contractors and ot

• Current C Class Australian Licence

• Full Working Rights in Australia
