What you will be doing
Our client Rio Tinto is currently Track Protection officers or M5 Safeworkers to join their Rail Network Renewals team at their 7 Mile Rail Facility in Karratha, this is an ongoing role with a start in January 2022.
Manage the critical risks of a rail maintenance worksite and implement the appropriate type of protection for the works performed
Provide safe working support to the rail maintenance execution teams, in accordance with Rio Tinto Rail Safeworking Rules and Authorities
Ensure thorough consideration, understanding and verification of heritage and environmental approvals
Identify and take ownership for the delivery of safety and productivity improvement initiatives in works planning and execution
Hand over worksite protection information to the relieving Protection Officer and ensure workers and equipment are clear of the danger zone prior to cancelling any type of protection
What you will need
Possess a high regard for the safety of yourself and others
M5 Safeworking Qualification (Essential)
Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
Covid 19 Vaccination
