What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will be assisting the Rail Mechanical Fitter Team to maintain the Rio Tinto Railways Division by conducting basic operation of automated wheelset processing machines; mainly rattle gun use for bolt removal, forklifting operations with a little bit of data input. Training will be provided for specific basic tasks.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Assist qualified mechanical fitters to efficiently carry out planned maintenance and inspections of train control plant and automation equipment to provide safe and reliable operation of the railway.
Assist the mechanical fitter with fault rectification in timely manner to minimise production delays.
Conduct themselves as a Member of the team, through high standards of works, safety and a willingness to learn.
Communicate regularly with key stakeholders including Train Control, Rail operations, RSM and Engineering Support regarding the signalling system performance.
What You Will Need:
Manual C Class Drivers Licence (Mandatory)
Forklift (LF) High Risk Licence (Mandatory)
Dogman (DG) High Risk Licence (Preferred)
HR Drivers Licence (Preferred)
Australian Rights to work
Demonstrated experience in a similar position is highly regarded however not essential
