About the Role
We are seeking suitably experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters, Plant Mechanics or Fitter and Turners to join our team. You will be an integral crew member with strong leader skills who can provide advice and technical guidance for the execution of day to day Underground Fitter maintenance activities in order to achieve established KPI targets for safety/care, cost and volume and to statutory compliance.
Rosters worked are weekday (Day, Afternoon and Night Shift) and weekend (Day and Night Shift), preferences will be considered however not guaranteed.
What you will be doing:
Provide technical, administrative, and/ or other support to enable the business to function at optimum efficiency/ effectiveness
Execution planned maintenance activities in line with the work management processes
Identification, report and/or repair issues with production equipment
Understand Maintenance requirements (impacts of delays, quality or other issues that might cause delays or impacts) and communicate as required
Understand the work management process and work within the guidelines and expectations to achieve the weekly planned and breakdown schedule
Perform maintenance tasks within level of competency and skill set
Determine or assist in determining root cause of all equipment breakdowns, failures, delays, and process incidents
Apply technical knowledge and skills to identify problems and provide solutions to rectify them
Use all aspects of warehousing and procurement systems correctly and as required
Record all necessary information such as malfunction breakdown, work order status, operations with hour, incidents, inspections etc. in the appropriate location
Review job procedures, PM service sheets and record any required changes (assist with future planning and execution)
Use all information available to enable quality work to be performed and avoid rework
Conduct pre-task hazard assessments, collect materials, parts etc. and carry out tasks
What you will need:
Current Order43 medical or willingness to obtain
Willingness to obtain NSW Mines rescue Generic Induction certification
Must be willing to undergo and pass a drug and alcohol test and functionality assessment
Trade Certificate: Completion of an apprenticeship normally of four years duration, or equivalent recognition in Fitting.
Dogging ticket (or willingness to obtain)
Hydraulics 1 & 2 Certificates (or willing to obtain before commencing)
Ability to effectively communicate and influence across various levels of the business
First Aid Certificate
Valid Driver's Licence
